SUPERSTORE COMMISSION FOR BEN FELDMAN
Earlier this year I got to work on an incredibly fun project for Ben Feldman from the network series Superstore. For their last season, he wanted to gift something special and handmade for his castmates and he hired me to make felt portraits of everyone!
All of the faces are hand-cut and hand-sewn. Originally, I had started the project with the intent of everything being hand-cut and hand-sewn, but because there was a 3-week turnaround needed and I began to ran out of time during the final week, I invested in a Cricut machine. I used it to cut out the clothing and glued the rest of the pieces together!
The little “T’s” at their feet are their color-coded marks for filming. Ben requested these to make it more obvious it was a personal gift from him!
Their nametags are made with shrinky dinks! :)
Here are the final versions all framed and ready to gift to the cast!
