SUPERSTORE - CUSTOM COMMISSION

I was hired by Ben Feldman from the network series Superstore for this fun custom commission.
For their last season, he wanted to gift something special and handmade for his castmates, so I made felt portraits of everyone’s character!

I started by drawing the characters digitally to ensure the client was happy with the oveall character design.

Then i translated the digital drawing onto felt.

At first, I started by drawing and cutting everything by hand, however, there was a very short deadline and I could tell I would not finish on time with this method. I decided to purchase a Cricut Maker and used it to help cut out the rest of the shapes for me.

I assembled all the pieces together with a mixture of hand-embroidery and hot glue

Each character was framed individually with their
“t-marks” that were assigned to them on set.

Their nametags are made
